Colubrina californica, also known as Las Animas nakedwood, is a shrub species in the family Rhamnaceae. It is native to Arizona, California, Nevada, and the Mexico Northwest region. The species was first described in 1924 by I.M. Johnst.

Description

Colubrina californica is a member of the Rhamnaceae family, commonly referred to as the buckthorn family. It is a shrub that occurs in the southwestern United States and adjacent regions of northwestern Mexico. The species is known by the common name Las Animas nakedwood in both English and the target language. It was formally published in 1924 under the authorship of I.M. Johnst.
