Nepenthes macrophylla, known as the Large-Leaved Pitcher-Plant, is a species of tropical pitcher plant in the family Nepenthaceae. It is native to a restricted elevation on Mount Trusmadi in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. The species was formally described in 1997 by Jebb and Cheek, with the original name proposed by Marabini.

Description

Nepenthes macrophylla is a member of the genus Nepenthes, which includes carnivorous plants characterized by their pitcher-shaped traps. This species is distinguished by its large leaves and is found only in a limited area on Mount Trusmadi. It is part of the Nepenthaceae family, which is native to tropical regions of Southern Asia and is also found globally in other suitable habitats. The plant's distribution is primarily within Borneo, where it occupies a very specific ecological niche.
