Solidago macrophylla, known as large-leaved goldenrod, is a perennial herb in the Asteraceae family. It is native to eastern and central Canada and the northeastern United States. Its range includes Labrador, Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, and Québec. Some populations extend north of the Arctic Circle in Québec and Labrador. The species was first described in 1824 by Bigelow.
Description
