Abronia macrocarpa is a flowering plant species in the Nyctaginaceae family, native to three counties in eastern Texas. It is commonly known as large-fruit sand-verbena and was first described in 1972 by L.A. Galloway.

Description

Abronia macrocarpa is a member of the genus Abronia and is found in post oak savannas in eastern Texas. This species is known for its relatively large fruit and is part of the four o'clock family (Nyctaginaceae). It is considered a rare plant and is restricted to a limited geographic range within the state.
