Lamourouxia virgata is a species in the Orobanchaceae family, native to regions in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. It was first described by Kunth in 1818.

Description

Lamourouxia virgata is a member of the Orobanchaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as the broomrape family. This species is found in several regions of Colombia, including Parque Nacional Natural Puracé, Santuario de Flora y Fauna Galeras, and the departments of Vetas, Boyacá, Cauca, Cundinamarca, Nariño, and Norte de Santander, as well as in Santander and the city of Pasto. It also occurs in Ecuador and Peru. The species was first described by the botanist Kunth in 1818.
