Kniphofia umbrina, known as the Eswati poker, is a flowering plant species in the genus Kniphofia, belonging to the Asphodelaceae family. It is native to an area near Forbes Reef in Eswatini, located just north of Mbabane.

Description

Kniphofia umbrina was first described in 1966 by Codd. This species is found in a specific region of Eswatini and is part of the Kniphofia genus, which includes various flowering plants. Its distribution is limited to the area around Forbes Reef, north of Mbabane. The plant is a member of the Asphodelaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly found in arid and semi-arid regions.
