Aerangis kirkii is a species of orchid in the Orchidaceae family, native to several regions in eastern and southern Africa, including Kenya, KwaZulu-Natal, Malawi, Mozambique, and Tanzania. It was first described in 1918 by Schlechter, with the original name provided by Rchb.f.

Description

Aerangis kirkii, commonly known as Kirk's Aerangis, is a member of the Orchidaceae family. It is found in a range of habitats across Kenya, KwaZulu-Natal, Malawi, Mozambique, and Tanzania. This orchid species was formally published in 1918 by Schlechter, based on the earlier work of Rchb.f. The genus Aerangis is known for its epiphytic and lithophytic growth habits, and A. kirkii is no exception, often growing on trees or rocks in its native range.
