Neottia smallii, known as kidneyleaf twayblade, is a terrestrial orchid native to the eastern United States. It is found in the Appalachian Mountains from northern New Jersey to northeastern Georgia.

Description

Neottia smallii belongs to the Orchidaceae family and is distributed across several states including Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. This species was published in 1995 and is commonly referred to as kidneyleaf twayblade or Appalachian twayblade.
