Protea namaquana, known as Kamiesberg Sugarbush, is a critically endangered flowering plant species in the Proteaceae family. It is endemic to the Kamiesberg mountains of Namaqualand in the Northern Cape province of South Africa, with a global distribution limited to 18 km2.

Description

Protea namaquana is a species of flowering plant in the Proteaceae family, native to the southwestern Cape Region of South Africa. It is specifically found in the Kamiesberg mountains of Namaqualand within the Northern Cape province. The species has a very restricted range, with a global distribution of only 18 km2, and is classified as critically endangered. In Afrikaans, it is known as Kamiesbergsuikerbos. The species was described in 1990 by Rourke and is one of the many Protea species found in the Cape Provinces.
