Pritchardia munroi, known as Kamalo pritchardia, is a species of fan palm native to Hawaii. It is found in dry forests on the leeward side of Molokaʻi. The species is named after James Monro, who managed the Molokai Ranch when it was discovered in 1920. Only two wild individuals are known, both located at an elevation of 610 m (2,000 ft).

Description

Pritchardia munroi is a member of the Arecaceae family and reaches a height of 4–5 m (13–16 ft) with a trunk diameter of 20 cm (7.9 in). It is endemic to the island of Molokaʻi, where it grows in dry forest habitats. The species was first described in 1921 by Rock. Its limited distribution and small population size highlight its conservation significance.
