Mangifera casturi is a species in the Anacardiaceae family, native to the Kalimantan region of Borneo. Commonly known as Kalimantan Mango, it was described in 1993 by Kosterm. Once endemic to Borneo, it is now considered extinct in the wild.

Description

Mangifera casturi belongs to the genus Mangifera and is part of the Anacardiaceae family, known as the cashew or sumac family. This species was originally found only in the Kalimantan region of Borneo. Despite its name, it is not closely related to the widely cultivated mango (Mangifera indica). The species was formally published in 1993 by Kosterm. It is now regarded as extinct in the wild, with no known surviving populations in its native habitat.
