The spur is long and narrow, and the capsule is fusiform.

Description

Jumellea comorensis is an epiphytic orchid with an erect or pendant, branched stem that can exceed 50 cm in length. The stem is covered with appressed leaf sheaths and has sparse roots. Leaves are grouped at the stem apex, leathery, elliptical, and slightly bilobate at the tip. Each branch typically bears one or two lateral inflorescences. The peduncle, 13–22 mm long, is fully covered by three tubular, persistent bracts. The fertile bract is 15–17 mm long and inserted at the base of a 3.5–6 cm ovary. Flowers are white, with oval, crispate sepals and petals. The lip is lanceolate, folded, and carinate at the base, while the spur is long (9–15 cm), angled, and narrow. The column is 2–3 mm long, with a smooth anther cap and acute rostellum lobes. The capsule is fusiform, 2–4 cm long.
