Yucca brevifolia, known as Joshua Tree, is a species in the genus Yucca, part of the Asparagaceae family. It is native to regions including Arizona, California, Mexico Northwest, Nevada, and Utah. The species was first described in 1871 by Engelm.

Description

Yucca brevifolia is a tree-like plant species in the genus Yucca. It is commonly referred to as Joshua Tree due to its distinctive branching pattern. This species is distributed across several southwestern U.S. states and into northwestern Mexico. It is a member of the Asparagaceae family, which includes a wide range of monocot plants. The species was formally published in 1871 by the botanist Engelm.
