Ulmus davidiana is a small deciduous tree native to regions including China, Mongolia, Korea, Siberia, and Japan. It is commonly found in wetlands along streams at elevations between 2000 and 2300 meters. First described in 1873 from the hills north of Beijing, China, the species is also known as the David elm or Father David elm.
