Jacaranda puberula is a species in the Bignoniaceae family, native to northeastern Argentina and several regions of Brazil. It is a shorter tree, reaching 4–10 m in height, and is distinguished by leaves with 4 to 6 pinnae and leaflets with serrated margins. It flowers and fruits in October, with flowers collected in October and November.

Description

Jacaranda puberula, described by Cham. in 1832, is a member of the Bignoniaceae family. It is found in northeastern Argentina and across several regions of Brazil, including the northeast, southeast, south, and west-central areas. This species is characterized by its shorter stature compared to other Jacaranda species, such as J. micrantha, which can grow up to 15–30 m. J. puberula typically reaches 4–10 m in height. Its leaves are compound, with 4 to 6 pinnae, and the leaflets have serrated edges. Reproductive activity occurs in October, with both flowering and fruiting documented during this period. It is distinguishable from other Jacaranda species by its compact size and specific leaf morphology.
