Jacaranda micrantha is a species in the Bignoniaceae family, native to regions in Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay. It was first described in 1832 by Cham. The species is distinguished by its leaves with 7 to 9 pinnae and leaflets with entire to undulated margins. It differs from J. puberula, which has 4 to 6 pinnae, and from J. mimosifolia, which has more than 12 pinnae.

Description

Jacaranda micrantha is part of the genus Jacaranda and is found in the southeastern and southern parts of Brazil, northeastern Argentina, and Paraguay. It is characterized by its compound leaves with 7 to 9 pinnae, a feature that sets it apart from related species. The species is known to flower in September and October, with fruiting occurring from September to November. It is a member of the Bignoniaceae family, which includes various flowering plants known for their showy blooms and climbing or tree-like growth forms.
