Isothecium alopecuroides is a moss species in the family Lembophyllaceae. It is distributed across several regions including São Jorge Island, São Miguel Island, Flanders, the southeastern and northern parts of Norway, Denmark, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Belgium, the Flemish Region, and the Walloon Region. The species was published in 1981 and is commonly known as isothecium moss.

Description

Isothecium alopecuroides belongs to the genus Isothecium and is part of the Lembophyllaceae family. This moss is found in various locations, including the Azores islands of São Jorge and São Miguel, as well as parts of Europe such as Flanders, the southeastern and northern regions of Norway, Denmark, and several regions in Belgium and Luxembourg. The species was formally described in 1981 and is known by the common name isothecium moss in English.
