Iphigenia indica is a species in the genus Iphigenia, belonging to the family Colchicaceae. It was first described in 1833 and is distributed across several regions in Asia and the Pacific, including Assam, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China South-Central, Hainan, India, Jawa, Lesser Sunda Is., Malaya, Myanmar, Nepal, New Guinea, Northern Territory, Philippines, Queensland, Sri Lanka, Sumatera, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Description

Iphigenia indica (L.) A.Gray ex Kunth is a member of the Colchicaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as the autumn crocus family. This species is native to a wide range of areas in South and Southeast Asia, as well as parts of the Pacific. Its distribution spans from Assam and Bangladesh to regions such as China South-Central, Hainan, India, Jawa, Lesser Sunda Is., Malaya, Myanmar, Nepal, New Guinea, Northern Territory, Philippines, Queensland, Sri Lanka, Sumatera, Thailand, Vietnam, and the West Himalaya.
