Yucca intermedia is a species in the Asparagaceae family, native to the northwestern part of New Mexico and the Four Corners region. It typically grows in dry steppes, juniper-pinyon woodlands, savannahs, and desert grasslands at elevations between 1,400 and 2,300 meters.

Description

Yucca intermedia McKelvey is a small, clump-forming plant with rosettes. It is found in the northwestern quarter of New Mexico and extends into the Four Corners region. The species thrives in arid environments, including dry steppes, juniper-pinyon woodlands, savannahs, and desert grasslands. It is adapted to elevations ranging from 1,400 to 2,300 meters. The species was first described in 1947.
