Plumbago indica, known as Indian leadwort, is a flowering plant in the family Plumbaginaceae. It is native to regions including Southeast Asia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Yunnan in southern China. The species was first described in 1754.

Description

Plumbago indica is a member of the genus Plumbago and is part of the Plumbaginaceae family. It is distributed across several regions, including SC, TW, Assam, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China South-Central, East Himalaya, Hainan, India, Jawa, Laos, Leeward Is., Lesser Sunda Is., Maluku, Peru, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Sri Lanka, Sulawesi, and Sumatera. It is also referred to as scarlet leadwort or whorled plantain. The plant is native to Southeast Asia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Yunnan in southern China.
