Eriodictyon altissimum, known as Indian Knob mountain balm, is a flowering plant in the Namaceae family. It is endemic to San Luis Obispo County, California, and is known from only about six occurrences in the Irish Hills and Indian Knob. The species was first described by P.V. Wells in 1962.

Description

Eriodictyon altissimum is a rare flowering plant species in the borage family, Namaceae. It is native to California and is specifically found in San Luis Obispo County. The plant is restricted to a limited number of occurrences, approximately six, in the Irish Hills and the nearby Indian Knob area. It was first published by P.V. Wells in 1962. Due to its restricted range, it is considered a species of conservation concern.
