It is found in various regions, including South Africa's Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and the Western Cape, as well as other parts of the continent and surrounding islands.
Description
Hypolepis sparsisora belongs to the family Dennstaedtiaceae and was first described in 1868. This fern species is native to a range of elevations and habitats across Africa, Madagascar, and several nearby islands. Its distribution includes countries such as Burundi, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda, as well as the Cape Provinces and Gulf of Guinea islands. It is also found on Réunion and in Zaïre.
