Hypnodendron vitiense is a pleurocarp moss in the family Spiridentaceae, native to shaded wet forests and rainforests in Australia, Asia, and Oceania. Two subspecies are recognized: subsp. vitiense and subsp. australe. The species was first described in 1873 by Mitt.
