Hydrangea chinensis

Hydrangea chinensis is a species in the Hydrangeaceae family, native to regions including China Southeast, Myanmar, the Philippines, Taiwan, and the Nansei-shoto. It was first described in 1867 by Maxim. This shrub is found growing in temperate and subtropical forest environments at elevations between 300 and 2,000 metres.
Description
Hydrangea chinensis is a shrub that occurs in sparse to dense forests in valleys and on mountain slopes. It is part of the Hydrangeaceae family and is distributed across several regions in eastern Asia. The species is associated with similar habitats as Hydrangea pottingeri, which is also found in eastern India, Myanmar, southeastern China, and Taiwan. Both species share ecological preferences for temperate and subtropical forest conditions.
