Scilla hyacinthoides is a bulbous plant native to Southern Europe and Northern Iraq. It is a member of the Asparagaceae family and is commonly known as hyacinth bluebell. The species was first described in 1767.

Description

Scilla hyacinthoides is a geophyte, part of the genus Scilla, and is found in regions including Portugal, Corsica, Italy, Sardinia, France, Greece, Algeria, Cyprus, the East Aegean Islands, Lebanon-Syria, Palestine, and parts of the United States. It is a bulbous perennial plant that thrives in a range of habitats across its native distribution.
