Humiria balsamifera is a species in the genus Humiria, belonging to the family Humiriaceae. It was first described by Aubl. in 1775. The species is native to the Amazonian regions of Brazil and Colombia, including the southern part of the Vichada department, the southeast of Meta, and the departments of Amazonas, Caquetá, Guainía, Guaviare, Putumayo, and Vaupés. It is also found in the Bota Caucana and the Amazonian slopes of Nariño, particularly in the high areas of the Tomo Grande and within the Parque Nacional Natural Serranía de Chiribiquete.

Description

Humiria balsamifera is a plant species in the family Humiriaceae, first published in 1775 by Aubl. It occurs in the Amazon region, with a distribution that includes parts of Brazil and Colombia. In Colombia, it is found in the southern Vichada department, the southeast of Meta, and the departments of Amazonas, Caquetá, Guainía, Guaviare, Putumayo, and Vaupés. The species is also present in the Bota Caucana and the Amazonian slopes of Nariño, specifically in the high areas of the Tomo Grande and the Parque Nacional Natural Serranía de Chiribiquete.
