Eriastrum hooveri is a flowering plant in the Polemoniaceae family, known as Hoover's woolly-star. It is endemic to the South Coast Ranges of California, growing in grassy open habitats from San Benito to Los Angeles Counties. This annual herb has a wiry, woolly stem up to 15 cm tall, with linear, threadlike leaves and a woolly inflorescence of narrow bracts. The white flowers are small, only a few millimeters in length.

Eriastrum hooveri (Jeps.) H.Mason is an annual herb in the Polemoniaceae family, native to the South Coast Ranges of California. It is found in grassy open habitats in San Benito and Los Angeles Counties. The plant features a wiry, woolly stem reaching up to 15 cm in height. Leaves are linear and threadlike, under three cm long, and may be divided into two thready lobes. The inflorescence consists of a woolly cluster of narrow, leaflike bracts covered in webby fibers. The flowers are white and measure only a few millimeters in length. The species was first described in 1945.
