Hookeria lucens, a species of moss in the family Hookeriaceae, is native to Europe, extending eastward to the Caucasus, Turkey, and China, as well as Scandinavia, the Faeroe Islands, and western North America. It is also found in the Azores and parts of western Europe.

Hookeria lucens (Hedw.) Sm., commonly known as hookeria moss, belongs to the genus Hookeria in the family Hookeriaceae. It is distributed across several regions, including Flores Island, Pico Island, São Miguel Island, Terceira Island, Madeira Island, Flanders, the southeast of a country, the Nordic countries, Denmark, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Belgium, the Flemish Region, and the Walloon Region. First published in 1808, this moss is native to a wide range in Europe and parts of Asia and North America.
