Leonurus sibiricus is an herbaceous plant in the Lamiaceae family. It is native to China, Mongolia, and Siberia, and has been introduced to various regions, including Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and parts of Europe and the Americas. The plant features a verticillaster inflorescence. Taxonomic clarification was provided by Kuprianova (1954), who typified the name in the sense of the Siberian taxon, distinguishing it from L. heterophyllus. Further taxonomic work was conducted by Krestovskaja and later summarized by Harley & Paton (2001).
