Holcus rigidus is a species in the Poaceae family, native to several islands in the Azores and Germany. It was first described by Hochst. in 1840.

Description

Holcus rigidus belongs to the genus Holcus and is part of the grass family, Poaceae. This species is found on multiple islands in the Azores, including Corvo Island, Faial Island, Flores Island, Graciosa Island, Pico Island, Santa Maria Island, São Jorge Island, São Miguel Island, and Terceira Island. It also occurs in Germany. The species was first scientifically described by Hochst. in 1840.
