Description
Jacobaea erucifolia (L.) G.Gaertn., B.Mey. & Scherb. is a flowering plant species in the genus Jacobaea, originally described in 1801. It is native to a wide range including parts of Europe, the Baltic States, Belarus, Bulgaria, and various regions of China. The species is characterized as a perennial or rhizomatous geophyte and is commonly referred to as hoary ragwort in English. The specific epithet was initially omitted in the protologue but was later corrected in the Errata as 'erucifolia'.
