Pycnanthemum incanum, known as Hoary Mountain-Mint, is a herbaceous perennial belonging to the Lamiaceae family. It is native to various regions in the United States, including Vermont, Alabama, Connecticut, and others. The species was published in 1803 and is part of the genus Pycnanthemum.

Description

Pycnanthemum incanum is a member of the mint family (Lamiaceae) and is commonly referred to as Hoary Mountain-Mint. It is a perennial herb found in a range of U.S. states from the Northeast to the Southeast. The species was described in 1803. Although some sources have referenced Herb. Linn. No. 724.4 as a standard specimen, it has not been formally designated as a type. The plant is also known by alternative common names such as mountain mint, wild basil, or hoary basil.
