Hippeastrum evansiae is a bulbous flowering plant in the Amaryllidaceae family, native to Bolivia. It was described in 1963 by H.E. Moore, based on earlier work by Traub and I.S. Nelson.

Description

This herbaceous perennial is part of the Hippeastrum genus and is characterized by its bulbous growth form. It is found naturally in the Bolivian region and is one of the species within the Amaryllidaceae, a family known for ornamental and sometimes medicinal plants. The species was formally published in 1963 under the scientific name Hippeastrum evansiae (Traub & I.S. Nelson) H.E. Moore.
