It is a parent of the hybrid 'White Innocence' and can grow up to 1+1⁄2 m tall.
Description
Paeonia emodi, commonly called Himalayan Peony, is a perennial plant with winter buds underground. It is among the tallest herbaceous peony species and is known for its large white flowers. Local names for the plant include mamekhor or mamekh (Punjabi), ood-e-saleeb (Urdu), ood salap (Hindi), mid, and 多花芍药. The species was first described in 1834 and is used in horticulture as a parent for the hybrid 'White Innocence'.
