Hedera nepalensis K.Koch
Hedera nepalensis, commonly known as Himalayan ivy, is a perennial climbing plant in the Araliaceae family. It is native to regions including Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam, typically found at elevations between 1000 and 3000 meters. The plant can reach lengths of up to 30 meters and features simple leaves that vary in length from 2 to 15 cm, along with yellow flowers.
Description
Hedera nepalensis is a member of the genus Hedera and is part of the Araliaceae family. It is widely distributed across the East and West Himalayas, as well as parts of Southeast Asia. This species is characterized by its climbing growth habit and is often found in forested areas. The leaves are simple and can range significantly in size, while the flowers are yellow. It was first described by K.Koch in 1853.
