Buddleja loricata is an evergreen shrub native to South Africa and Mozambique, growing on mountain slopes above 1,800 m. It was first described in 1975 and is part of the Scrophulariaceae family. The species is known as high mountain buddleja in English and is found in the Cape Provinces, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, and Lesotho.

Description

Buddleja loricata is a hardy shrub that is endemic to the mountainous regions of South Africa and Mozambique. It thrives at elevations above 1,800 meters and is adapted to high-altitude conditions. The shrub belongs to the genus Buddleja and the family Scrophulariaceae. It was first published in 1975 and is known for its resilience in its native habitat.
