Henry's lily
Lilium henryi Baker
Lilium henryi is a lily species in the Liliaceae family, native to central China. It is commonly known as Henry's lily and sometimes referred to as tiger lily. The plant features orange, black-spotted, unscented flowers with recurving petals that resemble those of the Turk's-cap lily.
Description
Lilium henryi, described by Baker in 1888, is a member of the genus Lilium. It is found in the mountainous regions of central China, as well as in TW, NO, China South-Central, and China Southeast. The species is characterized by its distinctive orange flowers with black spots and recurved petals. Unlike some other lilies, it does not produce a scent. Over time, the flower shape becomes similar to that of the Turk's-cap lily.
