Cypripedium henryi, known as Henry's Cypripedium, is an orchid species native to China. It is found in several provinces, including Gansu, Guizhou, Hubei, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Sichuan, and Yunnan. This orchid thrives in humus-rich environments within open forests, at forest edges, or on scrubby slopes at elevations between 800 and 2,800 meters.
Description
Cypripedium henryi is a member of the Orchidaceae family and is endemic to China. It was first described in 1892 by Rolfe. The species is distributed across southern Gansu, Guizhou, western Hubei, southern Shaanxi, southern Shanxi, Sichuan, and parts of Yunnan. It typically grows in open forest areas, forest margins, or on scrubby slopes with rich humus soil. Its habitat is found at elevations ranging from 800 to 2,800 meters above sea level.
