Agave fourcroydes, commonly known as henequen, is a species of flowering plant in the Asparagaceae family. It is native to southern Mexico and Guatemala and has been naturalized in several regions including Italy, the Canary Islands, the Cayman Islands, Hispaniola, the Lesser Antilles, Cuba, and Costa Rica.

Description

Agave fourcroydes (Lem.) is a member of the Asparagaceae family and is known by the common name henequen. Its native range includes southern Mexico and Guatemala. The plant has been reported to be naturalized in various locations such as Italy, the Canary Islands, the Cayman Islands, Hispaniola, the Lesser Antilles, Cuba, and Costa Rica. It was first described in 1864.
