Heliamphora tatei is a marsh pitcher plant species native to Venezuela, found specifically on Cerro Duida, Cerro Huachamacari, and Cerro Marahuaca. It is closely related to H. macdonaldae, H. neblinae, and H. parva, which were previously classified as forms or varieties of H. tatei. This species is characterized by its stem-forming growth habit.

Description

Heliamphora tatei belongs to the family Sarraceniaceae and was described by Gleason in 1931. It is endemic to northern Brazil and Venezuela. The species is part of the genus Heliamphora, which includes several carnivorous pitcher plants. It shares morphological traits with H. macdonaldae, H. neblinae, and H. parva, and all four species exhibit a similar growth pattern involving stem formation.
