Prasophyllum affine, known as the heathland leek orchid, is an orchid species found in New South Wales. It features a single tubular green leaf and up to fifty scented flowers with green, red, brown, and purple hues. Once collected in the Sydney area, it is now only known from three locations near Jervis Bay.

Description

Prasophyllum affine, commonly called the heathland leek orchid, is a member of the Orchidaceae family. This species is endemic to New South Wales and is characterized by its single tubular green leaf and up to fifty flowers that display a combination of green, red, brown, and purple colors and emit a scent. The type specimen was originally collected in the Sydney area in 1803, but the species is now restricted to three locations near Jervis Bay. The species was first described in 1840 by Lindl.
