Haworthia maraisii is a species of flowering plant in the family Asphodelaceae, native to the southwest Cape Provinces of South Africa. It was described in 1935 by Poelln. Initially classified as a variety of either Haworthia magnifica or Haworthia mirabilis, it is now recognized as a distinct species according to the World Checklist of Selected Plant Families.

Description

Haworthia maraisii belongs to the genus Haworthia and is part of the Asphodelaceae family. It is endemic to the Cape Provinces of South Africa. The species was first formally described in 1935 by the botanist Poelln. While it was once considered a variety of either Haworthia magnifica or Haworthia mirabilis, taxonomic revisions have established it as a full species. Its classification is supported by the World Checklist of Selected Plant Families, affirming its status as an independent entity within the Haworthia genus.
