Haworthia chloracantha is a succulent plant native to the Cape Province of South Africa. It features pale yellow-green, opaque leaves and forms clusters of plants. The species is similar in form to Haworthia reticulata but differs in leaf translucency. It has subvarieties, including var. denticulifera with toothed leaves and var. subglauca with darker foliage.

Description

Haworthia chloracantha, described by Haw., is a member of the Asphodelaceae family. It is native to the Cape Provinces and was first published in 1821. The plant is characterized by its pale yellow-green leaves, which are opaque rather than translucent. It resembles Haworthia reticulata but is distinguished by its leaf texture. The species is known for forming dense clusters. Two recognized subvarieties are var. denticulifera, which has small teeth along the leaf margins, and var. subglauca, which exhibits darker foliage.
