Haworthia blackburniae W.F.Barker

Haworthia blackburniae is a slow-growing, endemic succulent species found in the Western Cape of South Africa. It is part of the fynbos and Succulent Karoo ecosystems and is threatened by illegal trade and invasive plant species.
Description
Haworthia blackburniae, described by W.F. Barker in 1937, is a member of the Asphodelaceae family and is native to the Cape Provinces. The species is restricted to an area of 3,717 km2, occurring on the foothills of the Swartberg between Ladismith and De Rust, extending south to Rooiberg and the Gamkaberg. It is known for its slow growth and difficulty in cultivation. The population is declining due to the illegal succulent trade and encroachment by invasive plants in its natural habitat.
