Schinus polygama, known as the Hardee peppertree, is a member of the Anacardiaceae family and is native to Argentina and Chile. It has become naturalized in California and is also found in other regions including Tadzhikistan and parts of the United States.

Schinus polygama (Cav.) Cabrera is a plant species from the Anacardiaceae family. It is native to Argentina and Chile and has been introduced and naturalized in California. The species is also reported in other regions such as Tadzhikistan and various parts of the conterminous 48 United States. First described in 1937, it is commonly referred to as the Hardee peppertree.
