Hakea macraeana, known as willow needlewood or Macrae's hakea, is a shrub native to eastern Australia. It was first described by Ferdinand von Mueller in 1886, with the species name honoring George Macrae, who supported the original collector, William Baeuerlen.

Description

Hakea macraeana is a member of the Proteaceae family and is part of the Hakea genus. It is found in New South Wales and was formally published in the Australian Journal of Pharmacy. The species was named in recognition of George Macrae's assistance to the collector, William Baeuerlen.
