Tiquilia canescens, known as hairy tiquilia, is a perennial shrub in the family Ehretiaceae. It is native to desert regions in the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico, including Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, and several Mexican states. The plant is typically short and low-growing, rarely exceeding 15 inches in height.

Description

Tiquilia canescens is a member of the genus Tiquilia and is commonly found in mid- to lower-elevation desert habitats. Its distribution spans multiple regions, including the United States and parts of Mexico. This shrub is adapted to arid environments and is characterized by its compact growth form. The species was published in 1976 and is known by the common name hairy tiquilia in both English and the target language.
