Blepharostoma trichophyllum (L.) Dumort. is a member of the family Blepharostomataceae and is known by the common name Hairy Threadwort. It is native to multiple regions, including Corvo Island, Faial Island, Flores Island, Graciosa Island, Pico Island, Santa Maria Island, São Jorge Island, São Miguel Island, and Terceira Island in the Azores. It is also found in Parque Nacional Natural Sierra de la Macarena, parts of Colombia such as Charalá, Cundinamarca, Meta, Nariño, Risaralda, and Tolima, as well as in TW, Flanders, SE, Vermont-US, NO, DK, and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The species was first published in 1835.
