Polyosma hirsuta, known as Hairy Polyosma, is a member of the Escalloniaceae family and is native to northeastern Queensland, Australia. It is an evergreen small tree that can reach heights of up to 10 meters. The species was described by C.T. White in 1918.

Description

This plant is characterized by its leaves, which range from 6 to 14 cm in length and 2 to 5 cm in width. The leaves often have toothed margins with each tooth bearing a short, stiff spine. The twigs, leaves, and fruit are covered in fine, pale brown hairs. Polyosma hirsuta is part of the genus Polyosma and is found only in Queensland.
