Haemodorum coccineum is a plant species in the family Haemodoraceae, native to New Guinea, the Northern Territory, and Queensland. It was first described in 1810 by Robert Brown.

Haemodorum coccineum belongs to the genus Haemodorum within the Haemodoraceae family, commonly known as the bloodroot family. This species is distributed across New Guinea, as well as the Northern Territory and Queensland in Australia. The species was formally published in 1810 by the botanist Robert Brown. It is one of several Haemodorum species found in the region, which are characterized by their distinctive floral structures and often vibrant colors.
